Day 312 – We are children of the Light.
Today’s Reading: 1 Thessalonians 5 – 2 Thessalonians 2
1 Thessalonians 5:5 “For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness.”
So what does that mean to me and my life….think about it, what were you afraid of when you were little? Were you ever afraid of the dark, did you ever check under your bed and in the closet before you turned of the lights? What did our mom, dad or grandparent say after it got dark? ‘Nothing good happens after “Dark” thirty’. When do most people sleep? When it’s dark right?!
Well if we are children of the day then we have no reason to fear the dark or live in the dark because it’s already light. We must stay alert, be ready, seek to fulfill what God wants from us. We must NOT become idle, but continuing to work as we work for the Lord. And because we are children of the Day, we are filled with the greatest light, Hope….Hope for tomorrow and Hope for eternity.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”
Stop living in the dark. Seek to live in the light. Go live as A child of the Day and Shine like the SON!
