Day 236 – What is God trying to show you?
Today’s Reading: Ezekiel 39 – 41
Ezekiel 40:4 “The man said to me, “Son of man, look carefully and listen closely and pay attention to everything I am going to show you, for that is why you have been brought here. Tell the people of Israel everything you see.”
God is always trying to reveal something to us by the things He’s placed around us. Yet, often we are unable to see what exactly it is. It’s not that we are blind or that it’s too hard to grasp, but most often it’s because we aren’t able to focus in due to the distractions around us. We get lost in the fog of the mundane, the darkness of evil, and the heaviness of grief in the world causing the clarity of His Glory to be hidden from our sight.
For us to see all God has for us we must lean in close to Him, push off every hindrance, anything that doesn’t matter, and keep our eyes directly on what is right in front of our noses….After a long day of waking, reading, feeding, running, working, cooking, driving, cleaning, and laundry, my mind would like to turn into a big pile of MUSH, but I’ve found if I start my day with God and seek Him as I shut my eyes, clarity comes from a yearning to know Him more. So what is God trying to show you? He wants you to see this world we live in through His Eyes, unshaded, unhindered, absolutely clear, and filled with love.
