Day 159 – 365 Days through the Word

Day 159 – Take no day for granted.

Today’s Reading: 88 – 90

“So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.” Psalm 90:12.

Graduation is a remarkable and memorable day. However, it is only one of many memorable days that will be in your life. You will remember your 16th birthday, your 21st year, your graduation from high school and college, the day you get married, the birth of your children, and in between all of these days there will be other days you’ll never forget.

Some days will be grand and some you will wish you could forget. As I watched this year’s graduating class cross the stage to get their diploma I thought about their days. The days past and the days in their future. I thought about the plans God has for each one of them.

God has a purpose to accomplish through each person who’s heart is still beating. But the choice of how the days In between go is up to you.

Some will try to rush through life, seeking the next best moment, missing the treasures in between. Some will try and suspend time and never go after the great purpose God has for them. Then there are those that will make a point, each and everyday to seek after what God has for them.

These seekers won’t miss a beat or ruin a moment. They will take all life has for them and Glorify God with it. They won’t let the good, the bad, or the ugly turn them away from the promise God has for them. These know that their days are truly numbered, that God knew when they would be born and when they would take their last breath. These seekers are the ones that no matter how much they struggle, in the end will hear, Well Done!

Matthew 25:21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

Those who seek after God found Wisdom on the adventure that is called their life because they numbered each day.

Don’t take today for granted, you don’t know what tomorrow will bring. Remember that today, you are still alive, so you have a purpose to LIVE.
