Day 35 – As we catch the rays of light shining in the windows of our home, may we be reminded of the Rays of His Light shining in the Windows of our soul.
Todays Reading: Numbers 6:1 – 8:26
Numbers 6:22-26, “The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, Thus you shall bless the people of Israel: you shall say to them, The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.”
As we come to this part in Numbers, where I would have quickly summed up that all the heads of the Israelites clans were to bring the same items as offerings to the Lord, God chose to emphasize each one by repeating over and over the same list of items. But the repeated offerings were engrained by the repetition and hedged in by the Lord’s face in front and His voice behind.
His blessing of Grace and His confirmation of Mercy.
He shined His face upon the chosen people, and through them We became chosen as well. We have become His children and He shines His face upon us and pours His blessing on our heads. When we go to Him offering ourselves as a sacrifice daily, He will speak so that we hear, to some audibly in a loud voice and others more like a whisper to their hearts.
Bask in the mighty rays of the Face of the Lord, let them shine upon you like the Light of the Sun and radiate His blessings for all to Glorify Him. Sit in His presence and Hear His Voice, allow those around you to hear Him through your testimony.
You are His sweet child.
