Day 30 of Thankfulness

Day 30 of Thankfulness –

Today I’m thankful that my Hope is found in Christ.

Isaiah 11:1-5 “A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse;from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord— and he will delight in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes,or decide by what he hears with his ears; but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth;with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked. Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist.”

This week is officially the first week of the Advent Season. A Season filled with Hope, Love, Joy, and Peace. Years ago, a pastor made this statement on the first week of Advent, “Simply put, Hope is an expectation of something better. It is the acceptance that something God said He would do will definitely take place.”

As God continues to speak His truth in my life, I continually see this same Truth come to life. It is those things that I hope for in Christ that give me reason to Thank Him. The things He promises us will come to fruition. We must never lose hope. Because our Christmas celebration is the Hope realized. Hope for the Jews and Hope for the World, all wrapped up in a little baby.

Luke 2:15-17 “When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger.”

All we truly have is Hope in Christ. It is my hope that over these past 30 days, you have seen Christ through my journey. If you don’t know Him fully and want to know Him more, that you would ask Jesus to come into your heart and be your Savior. There are no special words, no specific methods, just a humble heart coming to the Lord saying, I’m not perfect, but I want to be perfectly yours. There is no greater Joy, Hope, and Love than that you will Receive from Christ.
