Day 17 of Thankfulness

Day 17 of Thankfulness –

Today I am thankful that our God still does miracles!

“At the same time, God also testified by signs and wonders, various miracles, and distributions of gifts from the Holy Spirit according to His will.” Hebrews 2:4.

The first time I ever went to the Malnutrition Center in Guatemala the little girl riding my back with joy had just gained enough weight to be surviving. She had come to the center at 3 years old weighing 12 lbs. As she grew in weight and health, she still couldn’t walk and seemed to have lost all the childlike joy of living. I prayed and prayed for this little girl, as I know many others had for multiple years.

The last time I visited Guatemala I was able to witness JOY restored to this little girl. I watched as she walked on her own and played with abundant laughter. See she may never be able to run or dance, but she can walk and she is strong. There wasn’t just a sparkle in her eyes that day – there were bright rays of God’s goodness pouring from her.

“Now the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will personally restore, establish, strengthen, and support you after you have suffered a little.” 1 Peter 5:10.

And to that I say Amen!
