The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the Lord. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slave.” Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?” “Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.”
2 Kings 4:1-2
Are you distressed right now and see no way out? God sees you, cares for you, and will use what little you feel you have for a bigger picture in His masterpiece.
God truly cares for all those who are hurting. He desires to breath life back into their bones. He wants to provide a way where they see no way.
He calls to us, even when we don’t hear him. He beckons us forward, even when we don’t see the way.
God longs to fill us with Hope, Joy, Peace, and Love if we will just walk in obedience no matter how menial the task.
Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few.”
2 Kings 4:3
When we truly seek Him we will not be disappointed. We will trust in what we do not see. When we slow down enough to pray we will be met by His Presence. We will experience His peace in every storm.
He will fill us to overflowing when all we see is the little we have. He can take our small gift and make it grand.
She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring.”
2 Kings 4:5
God truly cares so much for all He created, You, because He created little “u” to be in the mix of His BIG P. u. R. P. O. S. E.
We need to stop looking at our flaws, failures, trials, and “minimal” gifts as worthlessness, and realize that God put in us and placed around us everything we need to be just the right piece of His Masterpiece.
She went and told the man of God, and he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debts. You and your sons can live on what is left.”
2 Kings 4:7
God cares for you. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. He sees a bigger picture, the BIGGER picture, where your little piece completes His Masterpiece.
