There is Hope in Tomorrow

“My days are passed, my plans are shattered. Yet the desires of my heart turn night into day; in the face of darkness light is near.”

Job 17:11-12

Today may not be your day, this week may have gone south, this past year was probably for the birds, or maybe these past years deserve a BIG thumbs down! But you know what? Today there is still HOPE for Tomorrow.

— Hope in Jesus —

Job had it good, for a long time, but in the period of day he looses everything, including, his health, his children, his wealth, and his status. He’s having to daily defend himself to his so-called “friends” and his wife told him it would just be best for him to go ahead and curse God and die.

However, among all the problems, Job still has Hope. This Hope isn’t in getting better or regaining his wealth. This Hope isn’t in getting his children back or regaining his prominence, this Hope is in God.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah 40:29-31

Job knows his days are numbered, and they aren’t going to be shortened or changed. Each day has a night and each night gets dark, but even in his darkness there is light and this light brings a new day. For Job, there is nothing better to do in the waiting, BUT Hope. So, he waits and hopes for time with God, his hearts desire.

God gives each of us the desire of our heart as long as we love Him and are called according to His purpose. His Purpose — meaning: we aren’t chasing after our own selfish desires but the desires that fall in line with His.

And Job here, his desire is to be face to face with His maker, the creator, God….and you know what, God wants that same thing for each of us, so it is in His Will.

If it is in God’s Will, God WILL do it.

So Job Hopes. Each day, he wakes up and waits expectantly for God to come. Because that is Hope — waiting expectantly for God’s Will to come to earth…..thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven (Matthew 6:20).

No matter what our day, week, month, year or years hold, we have no reason to hold onto despair when we can hold onto Hope. Because Hope, there will be a tomorrow, because there is Hope in tomorrow.

Don’t lose Hope because of this crazy world we live in, Have Hope because Our God has overcome this crazy world, and ALL of our Hope can be found in Him.
